WELCOME TO MEDFORD FRIENDS CHURCH

At Medford Friends Church, we believe in Jesus, love God, and love our people, right here in the heart of Southern Oregon. As a Christ-centered, Bible-based community of faith, our aim is to welcome everyone, help each person grow in their walk with God, and join together in serving our city and beyond.

Our Story & Identity

Founded on the historic values of the Friends (Quaker) tradition, MFC stands as a place where genuine relationship with God meets authentic relationship with others. We trace our roots through the broader Friends movement. The Friends Church began in England in 1647 when George Fox and others, dissatisfied with the empty rituals of their time, discovered a personal and transforming relationship with Jesus Christ that sparked the Friends Movement.

Our identity is shaped by the belief that following Jesus involves both worship and witness. Here, you’ll find a congregation committed to:
  • Encountering God in grace and truth
  • Growing spiritually through Scripture and Spirit
  • Serving one another and our city in love
  • Being a table where seekers and believers, young and old, long-time locals and newcomers, are welcome
We believe that church is not simply a gathering—it’s a community of people being formed into the likeness of Christ, a family learning together, and a sending body sent out into the world.

We are part of Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends which includes Evangelical Friends churches in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Where God Has Anchored Us

Medford, Oregon, is more than just our location. It shapes who we are, how we serve, and what we hope to contribute to the world.

JESSE DAVIS

Pastor

Jesse has been the Pastor of Medford Friends Church since 2015. He, his wife Emily, and his two boys, Grayson and Thatcher, enjoy spending time in the community, ministering to the congregation, and in fellowship with them.

As the county seat of Jackson County, Medford serves as a regional hub and anchor in the Rogue Valley. The city is nicknamed the “Pear Blossom City,” a nod to its agricultural legacy and the blossoming of pear trees each spring. Nestled in the rain-shadow of the Cascade and Siskiyou ranges, Medford enjoys more sunshine and milder winters than much of the Pacific Northwest. With its long history of farming, timber, and now health-care and services, Medford is a place of growth, transitions and new beginnings.

At MFC, we see our presence in Medford as both a privilege and a calling. We’re here to engage the realities of our city—its beauty, its challenges, its potential—and to offer the hope of the gospel in every neighborhood, workplace, and home. We recognize that the community around us is diverse, shaped by agriculture, small business, families, retirees, and folks in every season of life. Our church strives to reflect that diversity in mission and welcome.

If you’re curious about faith, looking for a place to belong, or simply wanting to explore what church can be, we invite you to join us at Medford Friends Church. You’ll be welcomed, valued, and given space to ask, wonder, grow, and serve.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
