Home Study for July 31 through August 4, 2012

Monday – Read Romans 1:20-24

Why does denying God lead to so many problems?

What evidence of this have you seen in the world?

Where does such futile and deluded thinking take a person or culture?

What does this say about our culture today?

Tuesday – Read Romans 1:26-32

What evidence do you see of people denying God today?

Could acceptance of Jesus and His truth transform our culture, nation and world?

As God’s people, what can we do to be part of this transformation?

What can you do this week?

Wednesday – Jonah 3:1-10

Was Jonah’s message from God complicated or simple?

Who could understand it?

What was this important?

What does this tell us about how we should share God’s truth with the people in our lives and culture?

Thursday – Read Colossians 1:21-23

Is this the same work that God wants to do in our lives?

Pray for His work in your life to make this a reality.

Friday – Read Colossians 2:6-10

Who is behind the hollow and deceptive philosophies of the world?

How can we protect our mind from them?

In what ways have you made yourself susceptible to such thoughts?

What can you do to better protect yourself for God’s use?

What will you do?

Saturday – Read Mark 4:35-41
