Song Of The Week

This Weeks song is Stand Up by Fireflight. This song is about not worrying about the troubles of today because it isn't the end of the world. Of corse, one day judgment day will come and we really need to be aware of that at all times, but at some points when we are having a bad day, we need to hear that it isn't judgment day and that tomorow is a new day to start all over and not to worry. So here is Stand Up——http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFZfvq1zmAE

Song Of The Week

This weeks song is The Cartoon Song by Chris Rice. In Sunday School on Sunday mornings all of us in from1st-6th grade would sing songs before we did our lesson and one of the really special songs that we all loved was the cartoon song, but we didn't have it on CD, so we would always have to have someone play it for us on guitar and there was only one person who knew how to play it. Then that person stopped playing it for us and no one was there to play it, so for a long time we went on without hearing the cartoon song and then in Jr. High we were sitting in class and we hear the cartoon song playing from the hall and all of us in that class looked at eachother and smiled and we asked our teacher if we could go out and listen to it because we hadn't heard that song for so long so it was very special. This song is just thinking about what would happen if cartoons were christian and they take many of the sayings that some of the cartoon characters say and they turn them into praises and it is just a happy song. Whenever I hear this song I always think of all the good times I had in sunday school when I was younger and it just makes me really happy, so I hope this song puts a smile on your face just as much as it does mine.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pxo8Jtw7FN4

Song Of The Week

A couple years ago Brandon Heath Came out with a song called Wait And See, and it wasn't really my type of music that I enjoy listening to, but I don't know why, I just found this song really catchy and got excited whenever I heard it. I also love the message that it gives that God is never finished with you. He has lots of plans for you and even when you think you have got it, he has something even bigger in store for you. A lot of times we forget that God really does have a plan for us and if we just let him take control of our lives then everything will fall into place and he will provide many things for us to do. So here is the song of the week, Wait And See by Brandon Heath.-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJwlmb4V-0Y

Song Of The Week

Well, I have 11 more days of school left and hopefully when it's all over I will have more time to blog and therefore I will be more on top of posting a new song for each week.  One of my favorite bands that lately I have sadly ignored is the band Relient K.  I found a video I made on my computer the other day and forgot how awsome they are. So this weeks song is my favorite Relient K song of all time, it is called Who I Am Hates Who I've Been. The whole concept of the song can be confusing at first, but after you have listened to it as many times as i have, then It is easy to understand. Relient K has been known for their quirky lyrics and this is defienetly one of those songs. This song is basically looking back in retrospect onto something you have done in the past. You look back at the way you were then and your hating who you were. Sometimes this happens and all that we can say is, "God, thank you for loving me even when I did that and giving me a second chance and forgivinging me!" This is a truly wonderful song and i really encourage you to listen to it!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndod2trtpak

Song of the Week

But the servant was pierced because we had sinned. He was crushed because we had done what was evil. He was punished to make us whole agian. His wounds have healed us. Isaiah 53:5.  As we all know this week is Easter and I wanted to post a song that always really touches me during this time of year. The song is called Redeemer, Savior , Friend. It is preformed by David Kauffman. This song is about how when Jesus was going on to die, he did it for his children, he did it for you. This song really puts the emphisis on how Jesus was thinking about you in particular when he went to die. I also personally think that people dwell a little too much on Jesus dying around the Easter season. You know what Easter is the celebration of right?… Jesus rising from the grave because he is lord of all and can conqur anything! It is important to relize that Jesus did die for you, but also, we should rejoice that he came back and went to Heaven to prepare a place for us. So I really encourage you to really close your eyes and take time to let this song sink in during this Easter season and any other time too. I just find it really powerfull to listent to around Easter and that is what makes it special to me. So here you go-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r__K8E8y2SU&feature=related
