Why did the mother of James and John want her sons to be on each side of Jesus in His kingdom?

What did she, and the disciples, not understand about what Jesus came to do?

How did Jesus turn their idea of leadership upside down?

How does this apply to our lives today?

 

Wednesday – Read Proverbs 16:1-9

Why is verse 2 an important truth to understand?

What does it mean to commit to the Lord whatever we do? Is it asking Him to bless our plans or seeking to know and follow His plans?

Why is it important for leaders to teach and correct properly?

According to verse 2, what should their attitude be? Why?

What does it take for a leader to teach properly?

How can you support those who preach and teach among us?

What can we do to support our leaders?

What does this create within them?

Why is this important?

What is God saying to you? How will you respond?
